Inside a beehive

Honey bees live in this wooden hive. Take it apart, one step at a time.

Select a part to look closer.

Step 1 of 5.

The whole hive

This wooden hive has six parts, stacked like boxes. Bees land on the board at the bottom and walk in.

Part 1 of 6

Bottom board

The floor and the front door

Bees land on this board and walk in through the door. In cold weather, a wooden block shrinks the door. Then a small colony can guard it.
